I decided to take a solo trip up to the white mountains today. the mission was to summit North and South Twin. There’s always an added risk factor when tackling a winter assent solo. I got to the trail at 0800 only to find the access road was closed, which added an extra 5 miles to the trip. When I got to the trail head I began the approach and was faced with 3 large river crossing that required technical ability and creative thinking. I took some calculated risk and made it across safely. Once I got the the summit of north twin I was greeted by 40 MPH winds and intense cold.
I powered through and made the traverse over to South Twin, hitting the Summit roughly 2.5 hours into the trip. From there it was a quick decent and I finished out the day with 16 miles 4800’ vert and 5 hours of intense work.
Mission accomplished. #infinite

Way to make use of the beautiful day, even if it was a bit extreme at the summit. Also that is a FAST 16 miles!!
Freakin amazing brother!! What an epic achievement! Wow! Thanks for spreading the inspiration and infinite vibes! We’ll all have to tackle some epic challenges together soon!
