The human body is one of the most complex organic machines ever created. Constructing this machine is a multitude of major systems; muscular, nervous, respiratory, to name some. All of these essential systems work in harmony to sustain functional operation.
Alike to any astounding machine, the body needs proper fuel. An Audi R8 doesn’t rip over 200 mph on low grade, bottom of the barrel gas. Rather, the pistons combust premium level fuel.
For the human body the same rules apply. You need the right fuel for the job. Our fuel is food. Consuming the right foods, a blend of powerful vitamins and pure nutrients are key to allowing the body to run at optimal conditions.
Following an exercise program with a diet of soda and zebra cakes won’t have the internal pistons chugging too well. Starting the morning off with donuts and sugary juice won’t have your mind sharp for the day.
Running miles on a body fueled by healthy carbs and hydrated properly will allow for better performance. Having tea or coffee rather than a low grade energy drink will ditch the jitters. Dropping the processed and preserved foods out of the daily diet will have the internal system running proper and clean, rather than disruptive and inefficient.
You wouldn’t want your car to break down in the middle of your commute. So why not take the same mindset for your body and health?
Food is fuel. Consuming the right nutrients for your personal system will empower higher speeds and the ability to move heavier masses. On the mental side, focus and attentiveness will increase, furthering the mind's capabilities.
The overwhelming amount of diet plans that flood an internet search can be daunting. Getting back to the basics of whole foods, fruits, and vegetables are a great foundation for your daily diet. Once that foundation is laid, you can build up your diet brick by brick. Start now, because if not your personal machine could break down when you least expect it.
